Mardi Gras in the Mountains

Red River knows how to celebrate Mardi Gras! Daily parades with colorful floats, krewes in costume tossing Mardi Gras beads, live creole music, and spicy Cajun cooking.  Laissez les bons temps rouler (that's Cajun for "let the good times roll")!

Annual events include a children's ball, day parade down Main Street, bead tosses at the ski area, drink making contest, a grand costume ball, kids costume contest, cajun cook-off, burning of the wild Tchoupitoulas (yep, that's how you spell it), crawfish boils, downhill gator race, and more!  Red River is excied to welcome Al Berard, from Cecilia, Louisiana, as our featured musician at Mardi Gras in the Mountains - 2010!

This year's theme is "Where in the World is Mardi Gras?" so get ready for an international adventure!
