Vendor Information
Dear Vendor,
Thank you for your dedication to the Red River Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally that has been held for over 40 years! We believe the time has come for us to make certain changes to this event to pursue the goals of the Town of Red River, town businesses, and its citizens.
We would like to inform you that the Red River Town Council has voted to make certain changes to the Red River Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally. One of the main changes coming in 2023 is reducing the number of vendors on the town’s property (Town streets, parks, and Red River Conference Center) during the Red River Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally. Starting 2023, only food vendors will be allowed to vend on the town property. However, this change will not affect vendors renting out booth spaces from the private businesses. The Town of Red River will assist in this transition. Contact the Tourism Department to obtain a list of Red River businesses willing to host a vendor on their property.
Currently, we are planning to host this event focusing on family-friendly and Veteran-oriented activities: Flag Retirement Ceremony; Veteran Banner Signing; Flag Field Display. However, most of the activities (various contests, live music concerts, Steve Stucker’s Rally in the Valley) hosted by the private businesses are still planned.
Please, note that all vendors, vending on the private properties, must be in compliance with the New Mexico Department of Taxation and Revenue in order to be granted an itinerant vendor license. You can check your compliance status and/or print your compliance letter online at https://tap.state.nm.us. For compliance questions, please call (505) 827-0700. A letter of compliance must be submitted with your itinerant vendor license application to the Town of Red River included with this letter no later than 30 days prior to the event.
Sincerely,
Max Khudiakov,
Tourism & Economic Development Director
Town of Red River
