Red River Memorial Weekend
Join us in Red River for Memorial Weekend, May 21–25, 2026, as our community comes together to honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Throughout the weekend, guests are invited to experience meaningful tributes, connect with veterans, and take part in events centered around remembrance, reflection, and community.
The centerpiece of the weekend is the Wall of Honor, open daily at the Red River Conference Center, alongside free veteran services and support resources available Friday through Sunday. Visitors can also participate in a Patch & Challenge Coin Swap, offering a chance to share stories and connect with others.
Brandenburg Park will feature a variety of food vendors throughout the weekend, creating a welcoming space to gather between events. On Sunday evening, a Flag Retiring Ceremony will be held to respectfully honor fallen service members and first responders, with an opportunity for the public to submit names for recognition. Community members are also invited to take part in a special tribute by dedicating a flag to a service member who has passed. If you would like to participate, please click this link to submit a dedication. All submissions need to be in by 11:59pm Saturday, May 23rd.
This weekend is a time to come together, reflect, and show gratitude. Whether you are visiting to honor a loved one, support veterans, or simply be part of something meaningful, Memorial Weekend in Red River offers a thoughtful and memorable experience for all.
