3 Winter Mocktail Recipes
The non alcoholic (NA) drinks and low-alcohol spaces grew over 60% in 2023*, with no indication of slowing down anytime soon. With so many people choosing to drink less, better, or not at all, comes an increasing demand for creative libations, often with health benefits through ingredients such as adaptogens, electrolytes, and vitamins. Try one of the following easy-to-make concoctions to ensure you stay hydrated especially in the high altitude!
1. Lemon Ginger Mocktail Spritz
A refreshing mocktail that is also an immunity booster thanks to the ginger and lemon.
Blend ginger with a little water and strain
Add 1/2 oz honey syrup to a glass
Add 3/4 oz ginger juice and 1 oz fresh lemon juice
Add ice and top with sparkling water
2. Harvest Punch
This delicious blend of apple cider and ginger will have your taste buds tingling. Add a tiny splash of apple cider vinegar for a digestive boost as well.
1 cup ice
½ oz apple cider (+ 1 t apple cider vinegar, optional)
½ cup sparkling water
½ cup ginger beer
Sliced apples for garnish
In a large punch bowl or beverage dispenser, add the ice, apple cider, sparkling wine, vodka, ginger beer and sliced apples. Stir to combine and drink up!
3. Elderberry Fizz
Another tasty immune boosting mocktail to try out this winter.
¼ cup elderberry syrup
¼ cup elderberry syrup
½ lime cut into 4 slices
8 oz chilled sparkling fruit juice
Pour 2 tablespoons of elderberry syrup or juice into each glass. Squeeze a slice of lime into each and fill with sparkling water or sparkling fruit. Garnish with remaining lime slices.
