Just outside of town you'll find six US Forest service campgrounds with direct access to the mountain's hidden gems. Yurts (fully furnished) have also become a popular way to spruce up your camping adventure. However, if "glamping" isn't what you're looking for there are 12,000 acres of national forest surrounding Red River calling your name.

Red River RV Park is a small, quaint, friendly RV park with a community vibe.
We are located right on the Red River with some of our sites backing up to the river. City park land is right across the river for family fun, baseball, volleyball, exercise with your pups! Beautiful mountain views all around us. Each site has a picnic table, full hook ups, free fiber optic WiFi and cable TV. Come relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air with us!
4K River Ranch is a historic 17-acre mountain landscape year-round RV and lodging site with condos, rustic cabins and river cabins. Tent camping is not allowed and pets are only allowed in your RV.
We offer year-round relaxation and adventure! Enjoy cool mountains in the summer, a reprieve from the heat, and find the best snow-making in the southern Rockies in the winter! Enchanted Forest is New Mexico's only full service cross country ski and snowshoe area.
Enchanted Forest offers 33 km of 12-16 ft. wide groomed, signed, and patrolled trails for both classic and freestyle skiing, 18 km of snowshoe-only trails, and 3 km of trails to ski with your dog. We also offer a ski school, guided snowshoe-a-day lodge, plus an on-trail warming yurt to get out of the cold, a full ski and rental shop with accessories and souvenirs, and on-trail overnight yurt rentals.

Road Runner RV Resort is nestled in beautiful Red River with the Red River running through the middle of the park.
Our property features 120 full hook-up RV sites, cable TV, wireless Internet, cabins for rent, playgrounds, a tennis/pickleball court, and many other amenities for all ages. There are also BBQ grills, wood-burning fire pits, and picnic tables throughout the park for everyone to enjoy. An on-site camp store is available for propane, ice, souvenirs, fishing, RV supplies, and snacks. Relax under the trees, fish on our beautiful river, and take advantage of the direct access to OHV trails are just a few activities that our guests enjoy. Pets are welcome. There is a full-service laundry on-site.
