Who We Are

Red River Office of Economic Development & Tourism (OEDT) is the town’s official source for travel planning. Operating through its tourism brand, Visit Red River, NM, the office promotes tourism to Red River through advertising, promotions, public relations, and visitor services programs across the country.

OEDT works tirelessly to engage local stakeholders in the tourism promotion of the town and provides them with resources, platforms, and opportunities to market their products and services to travelers including leisure travelers, event planners, and convention attendees.

Our Goal

The OEDT’s main goal is to position Red River as a preferred family and outdoor recreation destination for travelers and maximize the town’s economic vitality. The OEDT team utilizes the following strategies to achieve its goal:

  • Engage with travelers on an emotional, authentic level to connect with their motivations and aspirations.
  • Showcase Red River’s unique and diverse stories, places and experiences through the deeper connections and inspiration found within them.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to maximize the impact of marketing investments for attracting target visitors.
  • Utilize insights from research and analytics as the foundation for decision making and program optimizations.
  • Prioritize opportunities based on alignment with target audiences and measures of success.
